Vocational Training of Youth:
Underprivileged youth of urban slums of Delhi are either unemployed or underemployed due to no proper trainings and exposure, rendering them ill-equipped to secure any job with a reasonable wage. NIPUN aims to identify the youth in the age group of 18 to 32 years, unemployed or underemployed due to lack of right skills / attitude and to train them and place them in different companies through linkages.
The main approach of NIPUN has been to educate and empower the underprivileged and deprived youth, enable them for life and help them to develop their skills and capacities in a manner to make them equipped and confident to secure jobs with reasonable wage and contribute to their family expenditure.
Achievements: 1. 1552 youths were provided trainings on Basic Computer, Personality Development, Life Skill, Retail Management and Spoken English course; 2. 979 youth were placed at retail sectors, BPOs, NGOs, Schools and Corporates; 3. Regularly conducted Employee Exchange program and Exposure visits. |
