Differently Abled
In this Sector, NIPUN’s primary objective is to enable the Differently Abled to lead a dignified life through –
1. Provision of health care, education, counselling support;
2. Creation of conducive environment by sensitizing all stakeholders about the rights of the differently abled and by establishing community-based programs for social integration, equalization of opportunities;
3. Physical therapy and rehabilitation programs.
Towards this end, NIPUN is running a Special Education Centers at JJ Cluster of Bengali Camp. This unit caters to children with various disabilities like Intellectual Disability, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Autism, Hearing and Speech Impairments, Muscular Dystrophy and other physical impairments. These children are mainly from the slum areas around.
