Free Eye Check-Up Camp and Community Awareness Program on Diabetes
NIPUN organises a free Eye Check-up camp and Community Awareness Program on Diabetes for the migrant labourers of Kapashera on 18/03/2017.
During the camp various services were provided as per the following:
• 276 patients were screened
• Free spectacles were provided to 126 patients
• 9 patients were referred for free cataract operation.
• Free medicines were distributed
• Community Awareness Program on Diabetes

An Educational Trip to the Mughal Gardens
NIPUN have organised an educational trip for 61 girl children attending our remedial education centre of Empowering Girl Child project on 09/03/2017 at the Mughal Garden, New Delhi.
The children beaming with excitement entered the heritage site. With the Rashtrapati Bhawan as the perfect backdrop, the children saw a variety of herbs and flowers like Aloe Vera, Peppermint, China Main, Ice Berg, Tulips, etc.
They enjoyed watching the dancing fountain and sang along “Sare Jahan Se Achcha, Hindustan Hamara” as the fountains made different formations. The bright sun didn’t deter their enthusiasm as they were in awe with the big banyan trees and bonsais.
Not only did the children immensely enjoyed seeing the Mughal Gardens awash with spring blooms but, they also learned about their heritage and history.
The children learnt all about its historical significance of the Mughal Gardens and the Rashtrapati Bhawan. Students were served with refreshments. It was a very joyful and a great learning experience for all.

NIPUN - ANNUAL SPORTS DAY FOR UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN
NIPUN celebrated its Annual Sports Day on 19/02/2017 to give an exposure to the children to develop their overall personality and team spirit towards their holistic growth and development at Janmashthami Park, Sunder Vihar, Outer Ring Road, Paschim Vihar, West Delhi from 12 noon onwards. In the presence of Mr. Pradeep Kumar, Secretary of NIPUN, the children lit the torch for the games and took the oath on the sports day followed by the march past.
The events were seen participations from more than 300 underprivileged children attending various centers of NIPUN along with their parents in various races, yoga display and a mix of aerobic & exercises. Fun and interesting sports activities for children, motivating and encouraging them towards community building and forging camaraderie among them was part of the sports day. Children with outstanding performance were awarded with medals & certificates individually for each of the activities they participated in by Shri Suman Jain & Shri R.C. Shukla, Veteran Social Workers. Trophies were also given to the best House that performed the best. The sports day event was concluded with singing of National Anthem.
NIPUN celebrated World Disability Day from 3rd December to 10th December 2016 at J.J.Clusters of Meera Bagh, Outer Ring Road, Paschim Vihar, West Delhi.
The aim of Disability Day is to encourage a better understanding of people affected by a disability, together with helping to make the community more aware of the rights, dignity and welfare of disabled people, as well as raise awareness about the benefits of integrating disabled persons into every aspect of life, from economic, to political, to social and cultural.
During the period, several meetings were hold in the community to sensitise them about the rights of the differently abled beneficiaries, Govt. Schemes available and how to avail them.
On 10th December, 40 Divyang (children) of NIPUN have also participated in sports events program ‘Vishva Divyang Diwas Krida Samaroh’ organised by Aashirwad Special Education School at Bharati College, Janakpuri. 4 differently abled athletes were judged among the toppers and prizes were handed over to them.
The Secretary of NIPUN was honoured by Aashirwad Special Education School for the services NIPUN is providing for the betterment of the underprivileged.
