Nutrition Supplement to the children
Nutrition supplements to the underprivileged children of J.J. Clusters of Meera Bagh, West Delhi, India being executed by NIPUN with the financial support of Vision Builders.
People of J.J. Clusters of Meera Bagh are having very deplorable living conditions marked by lack of safe drinking water, poor sanitation and drainage systems, poor health care and education facilities. Malnutrition and under nutrition among children, vitamin deficiency among children, girls and young women are largely prevalent. Anemia among children remains an equally sad reality in these marginalized communities.

The project aims to provide daily nutritional support to 150 children from J.J. Clusters of Meera Bagh who are attending the Balwadi/ Creches Centers of NIPUN and in the age group of 3-6 years. The beneficiary children and their families will have improved knowledge on health, nutrition and hygiene through fortnightly awareness programmes. And at the same time the beneficiary children will have improved health status and will be able to protect themselves against major infections and diseases through the nutritional support and awareness programmes conducted as part of the project.
